A bit about us

Sukies started out as two friends, Sue and Christine, hiring out a few costumes from home back in February 1997. As the business grew so did the premises and they moved from Christine's front room to a shop on St Leonards Street, then to 3 different premises on Scotgate and then when the ground floor at The Corn Exchange became available it was decided to make one final move with the brand new SUKIES PARTY EMPORIUM opening on Saturday September 13th 2008.

Stamford is a very theatrical town with 2 theatres, 3 dance schools and over a dozen amateur and youth theatre groups. Over the years Sukies has been involved with every one of them. We have even been known to join in the dressing up themselves at the Stamford Festival Parade of Floats, winning an award for their Wizard of Oz themed float in 2010 and entering the Sukies fleet of vehicles (well our 2 vans) with our Cinderella theme in 2011.

In 1998 when Sukies moved to Scotgate they decided to widen their party range to include balloons. 12 years on it proves to be one of the best decisions ever made. Sukies provide balloons for many of the town's greatest venues and biggest businesses as well as continuing their excellent service for weddings, proms, parties and individuals.
